73 MW of new generation came online in Montana over the last 18 months; another 1.1 GW is in the EIA-860M pipeline (under construction or filed); 3 MW is on the books to retire over the next 36. Meanwhile 500 MW of data-center load is in construction or permitted in the state. Largest plant in the supply pipeline: Haymaker Hybrid (Wheatland County) — 630 MW of wind, first online 2031-10. On the way out: Hauser — 3 MW of hydro, retiring 2028-06.
